Cleanup Script

Has anyone developed a cleanup script, shell script or icontrol, for unused objects? For example: take a VIP as a variable and generate B commands for all the objects tied to the VIP(Pool, Nodes, Class, Key and Cert, etc.)

    Hi,

     

     

    Did you ever get a response or find a way to do this? I inherited a pair of old BIG-IP 4x devices. The amount of vs, pools, and nodes are incredible. Many are down that I need to cleanup. It is bogging down the system so badly the webui can't even load all of it. I can only get a stable connection through ssh but there is so much I need to delete.

    OH , before you do any of the bigdb commands, please talk to an F5 rep..it has some pretty serious consequences if done wrong.

     

     

    F5 SA's are very good when ti comes to knowing what hardware supports what options etc..So defintiely run it through them

     

     

    Just ask the F5 SA about this as an option to speed up your gui.
