Citrix Online Plugin Detection Issues

Hello forum...

I'm having a few issues with the Citrix Online Plugin detection on our BigIP environment (running 11.3).

Any installation of Citrix Receiver (any version) on Windows seems to be detected ok, the issues seem to be:

a.) Detecting Citrix Recevier or Online Plugin installed on Mac OS

b.) Detecting Citrix Online Plugin (any version) installed on Windows in non-IE browser

Has anyone else had similar issues and managed to get around it?

Here are a few things I have found during testing for background knowledge:

1.) The script used to detect whether Citrix is installed is done in two ways: ActiveX component check for IE browsers; MIME type for non-IE browsers.

2.) If you have Citrix Online Plugin 12.3 installed on Windows, the Citrix detection will say you don't have Citrix installed when using non-IE browsers, but if you Skip the popup, it actually works fine.

3.) If you have Citrix Online Plugin 12.3 installed on Windows and use IE, it detects the Citrix installation fine and executes fine.

4.) If you have Citrix Online Plugin 12.0 installed on Windows, the Citrix detection will say you don't have Citrix installed when using non-IE browsers, if you Skip the popup, it does not work (but there is no error)

5.) If you have Citrix Online Plugin 12.0 installed on Windows and use IE, it detects Citrix installation fine, but it does not work (and there are no errors, it just doesn't launch)

6.) I know that the Online Plugin doesn't seem to register a MIME type in navigator.mimeTypes (which is what the code calls to find the registered MIME types), so this is why it isn't detecting properly.

I know that the support documentation for BigIP 11.3 does not include Online Plugin and only receiver, but my main concern is the detection of what version is running so that I can effectively correct feedback to the users as to what is causing the issues on their machine so it can be rectified.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
