Change self ip address on 11.5

What is the correct process to change/modify a self ip address on 11.5.? ex: 1.1.1.1 to 1.1.1.2 I keep getting this error: 01071412:3: Cannot delete IP (192.168.10.68) because it is used by the system config-sync setting.

Thanks,

  • Hi,

to change self ip address you need to create new and delete the old one. In your case this self IP is used for config sync in a clustering configuration. You have to reconfigure config-sync to other self ip before proceeding.

    please check:

    list cm device configsync-ip

and you will see that this self IP is used for config sync purposes.

  • Hi John go to device management - Device - select your device from Tab select Device Connectivity - choose ConfigSync then change the ConfigSync Interface to another one and then you can go back and update the interface
