Can't disable ASM policy for RPC conditions

Hi, I have an issue when trying to bypass the BIG-IP ASM system for connections that use RPC over HTTP (K40345000), I see this error --> transaction failed:010716de:3: Policy '/Common/Drafts/asm_auto_l7_policy__EXCAS-HTTPS_combined_https', rule 'URI-rpc'; target 'asm' action 'disable' does not support parameter of type 'policy'.

I do some searches and found that, there is a bug when you trying to use action forward through ltm policy feature. See (K32521651: When a local traffic policy is configured with a forward action, the configuration may fail to load after an upgrade)

I think it's the same issue but i can't do workaround. Any help please? We use Version --> BIG-IP 13.1.0.3 Build 0.0.5 Point Release 3

Kindly check attached screenshot for my error.

Thanks,

Can you try setting Disable to Enable, save, then set it back to Disable to see if it will get rid of the error?

  • I am having the same issue, I've tried Charles solution and it worked. It must be a bug but you can get rid of the error if you try to enable asm in first place, save and then disable it.

Is this bug solved and in what version? I am using BIG-IP 13.1.1.2 and the bug is still there. Thanks Marvin

  • Can confirm this , we also have this issue. Not able to update disable policy without setting it to enable and then switch back to disable.
