Cannot remove _auto ephemeral node

One of our users accidentally created a node that is named _auto_10.3.3.3 and needs to remove it. The item is grayed out and we cannot delete or do anything with it. How do we remove the node?

    Go to standby node with cli mode. Go /config directory and edit 

    vi bigip.conf
    .

    Search search node '_auto_10.3.3.3' delete it.

    Save n quit from file and reload bigip configuration. Hope you will not see node and ync device with active..

      Well that's the oddity about this whole situation. The node doesn't exist in the bigip.conf. So I can't remove it from there. I've searched the entire bigip.conf file and no mention of this mysterious node shows.

      This is the bug in F5 device. Please raise support case to solve issue.

       

      What is your F5 version?
