I have an app that runs over http and partly over https. Up until now I would create 2 VS on the same IP.
One for http on 80 and one for https on 443 which works cause the port is...
The current GA release is 11.2.0. You may wish to review the release notes (http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/releasenotes/product/relnote-ltm-11-2-0.html) for any potential problems you may encounter due to your particular configuration.
Alternatively, you may download the early-release HTTP template that I posted on Dev Central yesterday (https://devcentral.f5.com/wiki/iApp.New-HTTP-alpha.ashx). This template will give you the ability to control IP redirect as well as disable caching, which was your request from another thread
