Can someone please explain the risks involved in using Route Domain across network zones of varying security levels

Can someone please explain the risks involved in using Route Domain across network zones of varying security levels. Also, the wokarounds for the same would be really appreciated.Thanks !!

    We are using route domains and we never saw any issue with route domains. Its as good as Virtual router concept in Firewalls.
