Can make the iRule or the GTM respond to these cname queries with the SOA record?

The application is doing a CNAME lookup against xyz.com. That’s hitting infoblox and then being forwarded to the GTMs. However, it appears the iRule (irule says to give internal ip for internal lookup and public ip for external lookup) that’s configured for xyz.com doesn’t respond correctly for a request for a cname record. The packet capture shows it responding with a malformed packet. When infoblox sees that it responds to the original query with a servfail.

Is there any way we can make the iRule or the GTM respond to these cname queries with the SOA record?
