Can I set up multiple backend connections to a single server for message-based load balancing

Normally, setting up multiple connections would consume resources on the server (memory/cpu) and hence, will result in lower performance. The whole idea of One-Connect is to reduce the number of server-side connections and hence, increase the performance.
