Can I get the numbers of current connections for pool member by using iRule?
Hi everyone.
Please show me the way of getting the numbers of current connections for pool member by using iRule.
Required situation is below.
When the numbers of current connections for pool member A(that is used by application A) has reached over some threshold, I want to force application B (which uses OTHER pool B) being directed to sorry server from web server.
Each application A and B use different pools. So I could't achieve my aim by using connection limit for pool members or priority groups for pool.
I want to force change the direction of application traffic (from web server to sorry server) dynamically
according to the number of current connections for OTHER pool(member).
I know I can get the numbers of current connections by using tmsh command(like "show ltm pool...")
I am searching the method of by iRule.
Can I achieve my aim by using only iRule? or Do you have any ideas other than iRule?
iRule is not for statistics per se. It is for traffic flow control. You may use iControl API for your purpose.
