Can an irule be used as a monitor

Can an irule be used as a monitor ?

 

 

If so how.

 

 

I would like to create a monitor to see if a webservice is available. This will be either a request and a check against a WISDL or a WS regest to do an actual query

    No, you will need to use either the HTTP monitor template or you can use an External type monitor which points to a shell script or perl script that does the necessary checks.
