Jun 04, 2009Cacti compression graphs
Hi-
I’ve recently installed Cacti (v 0.8.7d) on a Windows 2003 box. I’ve downloaded and successfully used the F5 template posted on this site. What I can’t seem to find is anything to graph compression. I currently have 2 1500 LTM devices that I am graphing.
Does anyone know of a template I can use for this?
Thanks in advance!

I don't think I've seen that. If you give me an idea on what stats you want to see, maybe I can crank something out for you early next week. Otherwise, if you want to get started on your own, I recorded a video on writing templates a little while back: Click here - 33boston_223

Thanks for the reply citizen, I'll take a look at the video and see what I can do. Basically what I'm looking for is what I can get from the configuration utility- HTTP Compression Rate (bits/sec) as well as the Client and Server side throughput. - 33boston_223

So I watched the video and attempted to create a template for SSL Client connections using the OID provided in the F5 manual (.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.9.2). Everything seemed to work ok except the only values the graph is reporting is -1. - JRahm

Can you export the template you created and post? - JRahm

Hmm, memory is fading. Global compression stats are already in my template. Sorry. Check this thread, the templates were submitted courtesy of hamish: - 33boston_223

I've attached the exported template and also tried to download the compression templates by hamish but I'm not able to?? I need these to be an xml file correct?
