Caching for Healthcheck

Hi ive been asked to ensure my /healthcheck.html page contains no-cache in headers.

Why would this be required? Is this correct?!

Thanks.

  • Hello, depending on your newtwork architecture or application chain, you could have a reverse proxy doing caching between Big-IP and the application server you test. If this RP cache the healh check page, you may see your application always up. One alternative would be to customize your health check with no cache directives.
