BigIP sends automatic broadcast on pool members

Hello,

 

I am newbie with F5. Would like to know whether it sends automatic broadcast to pool members? Our F5 is sitting behind our firewall and I can see from our logs that there are constant traffic from our firewall to the web server over the ports opened on the F5 even if no one is connected to the web server. The web server is still on build up phase and the server admin also mentioned that they are receiving constant connection from our firewall.

    newbie_f5,

     

    You'll get monitor traffic going to the pool members, if a monitor is set of course. You might also have a monitor on the node (ICMP?) so you'll see that too.
