BIGIP LTM monitors for Neo4j databases?

I'm setting out to build a VS to manage traffic into a handful of Neo4j servers. I don't see any monitors of type Neo4j available (using BIGIP v 13.1.1.4), so wondering what to do. Should I set out to build an application that interrogates Neo4j and serves the answer on an HTTP page, which I can then monitor for specific strings? Can I use a different SQL monitor and make it work against Neo4j?

A search for Neo4j yields zero results, btw.
