BigIP 5250v: SNMP works but some typical OID's don't exist like CPU usage
Hi,
We have a pair of BigIP LTM 6800 running. I can query CPU Usage ratio 5m on them (oid .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.20.37.0)
Now, we also started using a pair of 5250v BigIP. SNMP is configured correctly, I can access lots of info. However, OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.20.37.0 doesn't give any data.
The F5 MIB for subtree .1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.20 has LOTS of entries. My old 6800 only returns values for about 8 of them. The new 5250v only returns "ResetStats".
Anybody any ideas? According to the information, the OID should still give the correct info.
The 5250v run 11.6, HF4.
Thanks Vincent

Have you reviewed the manual page Manual Chapter: Monitoring BIG-IP System Traffic with SNMP to look for those values, specificly "Collecting BIG-IP system data on CPU usage based on a predefined polling interval"?

Yes I did. I can retrieve the CPU's, index and slot id. But not a single statistic is available for these cpu's. I'm going to open a case and report back here.

Turns out I was using SNMP v1. I needed to use SNMP v2. (or v3) It's stated somewhere in the documentation, I just missed it. You do get some values back with SNMP v1, that's why there was confusion.
