Big IQ Version 5.0 Alerts

Hi I have configured the above by setting the alert thresholds v low and configuring the settings in the smtp configuration. The email connectivity is itself is working when I click test the email is sent However the alerts do not appear to be working certificates have expired and a warning in Big IQ appears as yellow icon in the device properties however no email is sent Am I configuring this correctly or am I missing something ? Going by the official guide it should be v simple Pat
