BIG-IQ software image file location

I started writing this as a question but got a hold of my systems engineer who gave me the answer I was looking for (Thanks Josh!)

 

This is a VE BIG-IQ running in VMware.

 

I was trying to upgrade from BIG-IQ 6.0.1 to 6.1. User preference is set to 600 minute timeout, the highest allowed. From the GUI, when I select the 6.1.0 iso file and click upload, the upload process begins and times out after 10 minutes or so.

 

All the documentation I found on upgrading BIG-IQ was from the GUI.

 

Since I repeatedly had failures uploading via the GUI, I used WinSCP to upload to /shared/images/, which then shows up in the GUI after refreshing the page.
