BIG-IQ questions

Hello,

 

I have the following

 

2 internal appliances act as active-standby auto-sync 2 external appliances act as active-standby auto-sync

 

one BIG-IQ VE

 

on BIG-IQ we have added first internal appliance, under cluster display name we created a new one then import configuration of device

 

then we have added second internal appliance to same cluster display name and import configuration

 

when we need to configure a new VS we should only apply that to one of these internal devices or both ? if we applied to only one, these internal devices should be synced but what about BIG-IQ it will know that second appliance has this new configuration because it is has same cluster display name ?

 

• what if we apply this new VS to all internal devices which in auto-sync will this cause an issue ?

   

• also what happen if user performed change on BIG-IP without BIG-IQ, will BIG-IQ erase this change performed on device ? or it will show warning that it needs to re-import configuration ?

we need to we add external devices external devices have same VS and pools as internal devices but sure different configuration like IPs

 

Will this cause an issue ?
