BIG-IQ error when adding F5 device
Hi guys -
I'm working with BIG-IQ and trying to discover and import the F5's we have:
When trying to discover any BIG-IP device, I get this message:
Error getting resource provisioning from /mgmt/tm/sys/provision on (); check if iControl REST service is running on the BIG-IP.
Then when trying to remove the BIG-IP device from BIG-IQ, it will not let you and throws this error:
BIG-IQ cannot remove the selected device because the device has service configurations on it or servcesi are in the process of being removed.
What do you guys suggest? Restarting the ircd on all effected BIG-IP's. "restart sys service ircd"?
Is there a way to clear REST on the BIG-IP's. Most of these F5's are in PROD, so we have to be sensitive on procedures.
maybe: curl -sk -u 'admin:admin' -X DELETE

What version of BIG-IQ are you running and what version of BIG-IP is running on the system you are trying to discover? There is a good compatibility matrix you can look at to see which versions of BIG-IQ are compatible with certain versions of BIG-IP: https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K34133507

You may have resolved this now, but what about if you "Remove All Services" first and then try to remove the device - does this work?
