BIG-IP LTM with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services

Hello All,

I am tying to setup BIG-IP LTM with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services. I have the followed the guide (http://www.f5.com/products/technology/microsoft/remote-desktop-services/). However I am bit confused.

I am trying to configure the Scenario 1: Configuring the BIG-IP LTM for Remote Desktop Access with RD Session Host and RD Connection Broker on page5

This is what I have:

I have one TS server with Session Broker installed - name Jump1, ip 10.10.1.10 Have 2nd TS server with Session Broker configured -name jump2 ip 10.10.1.11, and linked to same farm I have also configure DNS round robin.

Here is where I am confused in Scenario 1 is says to create two pools one for Session Host pool and RD Connection Broker cluster pool (I know I do not have cluster of connection broker so there will be only one server in the pool )

So I have session host pool member 10.10.1.10 and 10.10.1.11 for RD Connection Broker pool member 10.10.1.10

Now if I follow down to create the Virtual Servers once again I it says to create two virtual servers Session Host virtual server and RD Connection Broker cluster virtual server.

Configuration as follows

For Session Host virtual server I associate the session host pool and for RD Connection Broker cluster virtual server I associate RD Connection Broker pool

So my question is why do I need two VS and which one should I hit to see this working? also If I get the VS for Session Host virtual server F5 will do the round robin for me and I dont think windows TS will do that, so I am getting I will need to hit the server where I have RD Connection Broker installed and it will decide which server to send the request based on Least Connections.

Can someone from DevCentral please help me with this?

Thanks
