Big-IP Edge client reported "invalid certificate"

Probably belongs in a bug report.

 

Running Big-IP Edge Client on Mac OSX 10.10.2, I saw error "invalid certificate" warning whilst trying to connect to the site with the policy.

 

I was unable to establish the root cause, but it wasn't the certificate being invalid, the errorlog hints at possibly name resolution issue (which is quite likely, as Apple redid name resoltion in 10.10, although it actually works a lot more smoothly than 10.9), and it is quite capable of failing such that browsers work but command line clients fail.

 

Thinking perhaps some more detailed error checking is needed, to make sure "Invalid Certificate" is not issued, because some of us get nervous with "Invalid Certificate" warnings, and to issue something more specific.

 

Anyone able to reproduce?
