BGP and LTM

How can BGP be configured to failover between LTMs in two locations (different internal subnets)?   Can both LTMs be synched with same pools, nodes and VS?

If the units are split into 2 geographic locations say from one datacenter to another it's possible as long as they are the same network segment.
