Best practice to protect OWA
Hi experts,
I've a task to protect OWA. Seems to me that the best way to protect is to use APM. But what about AWF? Is there any articles that compare APM vs AWF in case of protecting OWA?

you can try following ASM policy with Server Technologies set to platforms used by OWA

Hi there,
Great question! You're right that APM (Access Policy Manager) is a solid option for protecting OWA, especially with its robust authentication and access control features. However, AWF (Advanced Web Firewall) adds an extra layer of security by providing more comprehensive protection against web-based attacks, like SQL injections or cross-site scripting.
I haven’t come across a specific article comparing APM vs AWF for OWA protection, but it might be useful to look at them as complementary tools. APM focuses on controlling who gets access and how, while AWF is more about defending against broader web threats. Combining both could give you stronger security overall.
Let me know if you find any detailed resources on this! Would be interesting to dive deeper.
