Basic question on F5 Load Balancer settings
Hello
I am running an application that connects to Microsoft Exchange 2010 via an F5 Load Balancer. Our application is MAPI based and basically functions as a MAPI client that needs to connect to Exchange, the same as Outlook, except there are hundreds of MAPI connections to Exchange per our application server.
Exchange has a CAS array (cas-ny.domain.com) behind which sit several Exchange CAS servers.
cas-ny.domain.com is a virtual hostname/IP that is fronted by the F5.
I understand there are several settings on the F5 that are relevant to my application:
Session Timeout Keep Alive Polling Interval Session Persistence
Could someone explain how they relate to my application?

If you've got tmos v11 then you could download the latest exchange iApp and configure a mapi VS using the iApp template. At least this will show u the recommended f5 setup for Exchange, persistence etc...

Hello Nathan
Thanks for answering. I'm not actually from the team that manages the F5, I'm from the application side, just wanted to understand a bit more about the the F5 side :)
