AltostratusBackup - Restore of specific objects like Monitors?
Hello Folks,
Is it possible to restore the backup from a different hardware running on 10.2.4 to restore on a different hardware running over 11.3.0 HF3?
In case if complete backup cannot be restored, can I restore specific objects from the old appliance, like Monitors only? Or like iRules only? Is there a way or linux scripts etc which can help me achieving this requirement?

Hi Darshan!
You're supposed to be able to restore backups from v10 to v11 but it's always failed, at least for me. Also, you can't restore individual objects from a backup in any other way than to open up the UCS file and copy the config manually.
If I absolutely wanted to copy the config (meaning that there'd be alot of config) I would setup a virtual v10 with a evaluation license, restore the backup, upgrade it to v11 and copy the converted configuration to the production unit. Or try to apply the config to a v11 directly (which I have had no luck with so far).

Yes, the configuration is a lot actually. And I am migrating it to the new box manually. So just thought to confirm if there is a way or workaround to reduce the time and efforts.
