Sep 03, 2016Backend Port should be HTTP/HTTPS or it can be any Port for Application through F5 ASM
Is it important to use port 80/443 for back end applications for F5 ASM DDOS Profiling. Can't we use any other application whose listening port is other than port 80/443 passing through F5 for DDOS profiling.

ASM DDOS protection is operating on L7/HTTP which implies that the unit is operating in a full proxy mode. In that scenario your backend webserves can listen on any port you configure and use both http and secure https.
