I'm having trouble getting the 'automatic update check' to work'

Nov 10, 2014I would try telneting to the IP:Port from one of your F5 nodes.
From TMSH go to bash, then:
telnet callhome.f5.com 443
Trying 65.61.115.198...
Connected to callhome.f5.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
telnet activate.f5.com 443
Trying 208.85.210.4...
Connected to activate.f5.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
If you get a connection timeout, then either you don't have a route or connectivity. This presumes you have DNS configured as well.
