ASM switch SPAN port

Hi,

 

IHAC that wants a solution where the ASM is one arm mode sitting off on a switch mirroring SPAN port is this possible?

 

The ASM will only receive mirrored TX/RX traffic.

 

The only task the ASM is required to perform is to report on attacks.

 

We have discussed ASM in bridge mode with them, but they prefer the above approach.

 

Any other ideas appreciated, or has one done this before if so please advise configuration.
