ASM Enforcement Mode
I am relatively new to F5-ASM but could someone tell me where the ASM Enforcement Mode i.e. Blocking or Transparent mode stored within the UCS folder.
Thanks,
Victor

Hi Victor,
You can view the same in config file.

Victor - I don't believe you can tell what mode the policy is in from a UCS file as the information is stored in a mysql database. You can tell if you export a policy to xml and open this file offline.
Hope this helps,
N

Hi Nathan - Thanks for your reply but how do you backup the policy mode if it is not within the UCS folder. Exporting the policy to xml seems like a manual process.
Thanks,
Victor

It is in the UCS so a restore of the UCS will restore the policy too but the policy info itself is not readily available from the UCS file

The policy mode is a part of the policy itself, which is contained in a UCS. It's buried somewhere cryptic, if I recall. To Nathan's point, you can't easily tell the mode of a policy from the contents of a UCS since the info is in a mysql database
