ASM & ORACLE FORMS

Hi,   Has anyone tried to implement the ASM applications based on Oracle Forms?   If parameters, objects are sent as binary data?     Any suggestions?   W.

Hi W,

 

 

ASM can't do anything with binary parameter values except verify the length. I've heard that F5 might be doing some kind of partnership with a virus scanning company. If this is true, you'd be able to scan HTTP file uploads. But it still might not help with generic binary content.

 

 

So, if the app is truly sending generic binary blobs from the client to the app, there isn't anything you can do except configure the parameter(s) as a binary or "Don't check" type.
