APM: Options for AD AAA Pool Health Monitors

Hello All,

 

I am working through setting up some services that use Active Directory as a AAA source. When I create the pool using APM -> AAA Servers -> Active Directory, a LTM pool is generated with an Any (port 0) service. For now I have created a TCP half-open monitor on port 389, but I'd like to get some opinions on the best health monitor to use for the pool. My next choice would be a LDAP monitor on port 389, but I'm wondering if there is a specific reason to use an Any service pool rather than a pool for port 389?
