APM and kerb pre-auth

While configuring APM - there is a field for doing Kerb pre-authentication. I found the following article which it seems implying that Windows does Kerb pre-auth by default and any further config is not required.

http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles-tutorials/authentication_and_encryption/Kerberos-Authentication-Events.html

Since my client is 100% windows shop and configuring AD Domain Joined, Windows 7 - I don't have to configure Kerb Pre-authentication.

Please advice, if my conclusion is correct. thanks in advance
