Any way to monitor for hardware failures?

I've found plenty of places to get started monitoring status of software objects, such as virtual servers and pools, but what I can't find is any way (through either SNMP or iControl) to poll a BIG-IP...

I knwo there is a way for big-ip system to let u know(send a mail) if any hardware fails on the big-ip system
