is there a log refernce guide
i never saw it. anyway, /var/run/bigip_error_maps.dat is a map file from log to alert name. not sure if it is useful.

Also take a look at this:
SOL13317: Configuring the level of information that syslog-ng sends to log files (11.x)
This shows all of the configured syslog facilities and what they map to in the file system.

We have a list now and will continue to add more as we go. If you have any questions about log messages that are not on the list, please reach out to support and we can have someone research them for you.

Dear Nick,
This is a very good document which gives a lot of information about the logs.
How about the 01010040:4: Clock has unexpectedly adjusted by xxx ms
There is an article https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K10095 for Error Message: Clock advanced by ticks which has 01010029 as an example..
There is 01010029 : Clock advanced by %u ticks in the provided supplement document. However, I usually get the error 01010040:4: Clock has unexpectedly adjusted by xxx ms which is missing from the document....
