Jul 31, 2008Alertd & Monitoring Question...
We have alertd setup to monitor nodes in a pool and (obviously) send us emails if a node goes down. However, if we put a node into maintenance - "Disabled" or "Forced Offline" - we still receive messages when working on the server.
Anyone know of a work around to resolve this issue. We would like not to receive emails if we have the node in maintenance, if this is possible. Please advise.
Thanks,
Phil

Configured monitors continue to run regardless of pool member state, so you would also need to disable the monitor or disassociate it from the pool members.

Thanks for the reply Deb!
Here's another question for you...
In the email notifications for Pool & Node members, is it possible to modify the subject line of the email to specify the actual server name instead of IP address?

Posting again to see if anyone has an answer to my second question above:
In the email notifications for Pool & Node members, is it possible to modify the subject line of the email to specify the actual server name instead of IP address?
Thanks,
Phil
