Adding used blades to a running Viprion chassis

Hello devs!

I'll be adding 3 new 4340n blades (that were in use in another standalone chassi) to another chassi that currently have 4 4340n blade in it.

To my understaing, other than UCS backups and qkviews, the process is pretty much straight forward. I just have to insert the new blade, TMOS will automatically sync everything on the running blades to the new one. I don't have to format the new blades, right?

My only concearn is since these 3 new blades are not new, they have some old config in it that was not wiped. But I think the sync process will overwrite the old config on these inserted blades.

Is my understanding correct?

Thanks, Rafael.

    Your understanding is correct.

If you insert new blade, which even have old configuration, into chassis, The VIPRION doesn't only sync configuration but also it re-structure disk partition of the new one, which is same as primary blade.😀

I hope this answer would be helpful.
