Dec 26, 2008Add a new Lan to Firepass
How can I add an additional LAN subnet to my Firepass? There are only 2 interfaces. We are using one to connect to the WAN the other connects to a LAN. We need to provide access for an additional LAN. Is this possible, if so how is it accomplished?

Hi Thom,
You must be using a FirePass 1200 right? All versions of FirePass support 802.1q tagged VLANs. You can create as many 802.1q tagged VLAN interfaces per physical interface as you need (i believe the limit is 4094 tagged interfaces). You're Layer 2 switches will need to support and have co-configured tagged VLANs but this is the way you need to go about it.
Cheers,
Mal
