Dec 27, 2012actice/active and route domains
Hi,
i have a pair of LTM viprion v11.2 working in active active scenario (implementation phase ) and i cannot figure it out how to create route domains in this case.
i have created route domains in active/standby once but never in active/active. i don't know why active/active docs are rare on F5 site.
Have anyone done this before?
Thank you for your support.
Regards,
George

I'm not sure there's a difference WRT routing domains themselves. You create it on both, and away you go... I've done it on v10.2.1 and 11.2 and AFAICS they're pretty much identical (As far as how they work).
However you'd need to make sure that any servers living behind the BigIP (And relying on network VS's) have their host VS's in the same traffic-group as the network VS, and the same as the loafting selfip for the server VLAN. (Otherwise the host VS's would need to use SNAT'ing).
What can't you get it to do?
