A monitor question

Hi,

 

I have just started playing with F5 LTM and have following questions

 

 

How can I configure following on a F5 monitor

 

1- Mark the pool member as succesful (post failure) after 2 consecutive successful probes

 

2- Mark the pool member as failed only if 3 consecutive probes are failed.

    I would think at a minimum you could tweak the Timeout and Time Until Up values in a standard monitor. Timeout would be some number greater than the interval such that the interval would pass 3 times before marking the node down. Time Until Up would be some number greater than the interval such that the interval would pass 2 times before the node was marked up. The timing of course relies on your application, but I think you can get pretty close to what you're asking for.

     

     

    Otherwise, if you absolutely need a hard number of attempts (versus time), then a scripted monitor may be your best bet.
