12.1.2: iControlRest, How to get sync status and Trigger a sync

Documentation and other questions/answers suggest that there used to be a "get_sync_status" method but I can't seem to find that in the 12.x.x pdf docs.

Aside from getting possible leads about HA Groups, I've not been able to dig up anything else on the matter.

Is there currently a way to get the sync status, as well as trigger a sync for when one is pending with version 12.1.2?

(I'm using VMWare's vRO for the rest protocol)
