11.5.0 User experience

Hi All, We are planning to use 11.5.0 for LTM deployment. Any inputs if you are using it and are happy with it? Anything in particular we should watch out for. We will be using LTM mostly for web app load balancing.

    I have not used it, but, unless there's some specific new feature you need I would not recommend you to go for the latest version for a production environment. Better to wait until hotfixes to get relased and it's been tested properly (published known issues etc). /Patrik

    and even then (if you dont really need it now) i would wait for the 11.5.1 version (if it will exist) the 11.x.1 versions have longer support then the 11.x.0 ones.

    v11.4.x (latest hotfix) is the most stable to go for.

     

    v11.5 HF1 is due approx. March/April (so I was told by support) ... subject to change of course :-)

     

    v11.5 has some TCP stack improvements, official REST API support, MS SQL server proxy, etc If none of these interest you then stick to v11.4 for now.

    I'd say v11.2.1 is the most stable release with the longest support period until December 31, 2017, which none of the other releases have. See:

    Of course things may change for the other releases in future.
