trap
3 TopicsA service is detected DOWN - TRAP
Hi Team, I would like to understand if this trap is really being generated by F5. If so how can i disable it ? Example Event : A service is detected DOWN. bigipNotifyObjMsg= Pool /Common/test_pool member /Common/1.2.3.4:443 monitor status down. [ /Common/test_pool: down ] [ was up for 2hrs:41mins:36sec ] bigipNotifyObjNode= /Common/1.2.3.4 bigipNotifyObjPort= 443 I have checked the custom alert file /config/user_alert.conf and dont see any configurations created for this trap. Any idea about this ?Solved755Views0likes3CommentsSuppress SNMP traps from specific pools
I am basically trying to suppress traps when a pool name contains DIID, FIID, or PID, this could applear anywhere in the pool name. I have followed the principals set out in https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K53142338 However the config below in/config/user_alert.confdoes not appear to work, I suspect it's because I am not specifying the regex correctly, any help would be appreciated. alert BIGIP_MCPD_MCPDERR_POOL_MEMBER_MON_STATUS "(FIID|DIID|PID)" { # snmptrap OID=".1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.10" } Julian557Views0likes2CommentsSNMP (v3) not working on 11.5.1 (hf10)
Hi all, So for some reason, SNMP is not working at the moment. I can't seem to send traps to the target nagios server. SNMPv3 is configured in the gui, /config/user_alert.conf is empty and /etc/alert.conf looks good on first sight. I did a bigstart restart alertd and bigstart restart snmpd, but to no avail. I tested it by turning a pool member on or off or doing a logger to the crit facility. Any ideas?213Views0likes2Comments
