I was given a task to update our F5 Viprion's software version this weekend. However, upon checking for the latest software version on F5's downloads website, I came across an error which is: Export Compliance Check - Failure All downloadable files are presented with this error when I tried to download.1.2KViews0likes10CommentsDevice Config Issues after Upgrade
Upgraded from v 11.5.3 to v 12.1.3.5 and after the upgrade, the device is back up and seems to have partial configuration such as device name, ip address, login credentails, but all the LTM and APM configs are wiped clean. I get the message " The configuration has not yet loaded. If this message persists, it may indicate a configuration problem." when loading the config utility page. Any suggestions on why I have this error and how i can get all my configs back ?510Views0likes5CommentsUpgrade license
Hi all, I have a question regarding upgrade license for BIG-IP i4600. Is there any publicly available document containing information regarding upgrade of i4600 to i4800. I need an official F5 document or a link on F5 site and I found nothing regarding this topic. Thanks, Natasha504Views0likes2CommentsPort LTM and GTM configuration from v10 to v11
Hi, we are migrating to the new F5 appliances from v10. What is the best method of porting our v10.2.4 configuration to v11.5.4? Most of of the solutions I have come across so far seem to apply to the cases when the upgrade is happening within the same appliance. Is there a native method of porting the existing configuration to v11.5 syntax? Thank you301Views0likes3CommentsHot fix upgrade
We are running 11.5.1 BIG-IP and thinking of applying hot fixes. We have multiple guests for multiple entities. My main concern is that if I apply hot fix of 12.x will i see any change is features? like i read somewhere that the event logs will not be stored locally any more in 12.x (i am not able to recollect exactly so no sure if this is correct). Any idea to find out the detailed comparative charts/figures to clearly identify what is gonna change in 12.x? I am bit concerned about how I will go ahead whether to update to 12.x or continue updating 11.6.x ?Solved499Views0likes4CommentsLicense upgrade on HA active/standby BIG-IP 2000

Hi all, So we have planned to upgrade/migrate our 6400 running 10.2.4 to some 5050s running 11.4. as a first step we have taken a .scf file from the 6400 and tried to load it into a lab VE, just to see if any errors come up with the configuration itself. the .scf file has been successfully placed in /var/local/scf however when i try the command: load /sys config file /var/local/scf/filename.scf i get correct prompt and when i click y the load process starts but then in halts @ line one giving me the below error: loading configuration... /var/local/scf/filename.scf Syntax error: (/var/local/scf/filename.scf @ line: 1) "provision" unexpected argument now I have done a few of these upgrades before and never seen this. however this is the first time that I am using this method between a major release. any advice you can provide here would be greatly appreciated. cheers451Views0likes6Commentsconverting iRules 10.2.4 to 11.4
Hi Just wondering if there is an automated tool available that can convert iRules? We have an upgrade on our hands 10.2.4 to 11.4. besides the HTTP class which is deprecated and requires manual configuration, we have several hundred iRules that also require conversion to the new syntax. If there is a tool available that can convert iRules to the new syntax, that would save us a great deal of time. thanks in advance, Adel216Views0likes1Comment
