Where to place bash scripts on the appliance in order to survive platform upgrades?
Hi All, I have a bash script that is executed by an iCall script. I know iCall will survive an upgrade of the BIG-IP platform however I suspect that my bash script will need to be placed in to very specific location on the F5 appliance such as /tmp? I want to confirm where my bash script should live on the appliance so that when we upgrade the appliance, this script will copy across and continue to run without any manual intervention being required. Does BIG IP Ver. 12.X support automatic updates of the Geo Location Database?
Hi, We are using F5 BIG IP Ver 11.6.0 at the moment. We did employ Geo-blocking for a while however we found that we needed to manually update the DB or we were soon outdated and we saw some IPs being incorrectly identified as IP addresses are reissued. I have heard that F5 BIG IP Ver 12.0/12.1 allows to Geo Location databases to udpate automatically. I have tried to find official documentation on this however I have not been able to find any information at all. Is anyone able to confirm or point me in the right direction of the documentation that shows Ver 12.0/12.1 does support automatic updates of the Geo Locations databases? Thank You Kind Regards Chris

where does ASM store its policy configuration
was doing some trouble shooting on an ASM config sync issue and couldn't find the actual ASM policy content config anywhere in /config/. there is an entry in bigip.conf but that is just very basic, a few lines. did i overlook something or is it stored somewhere else?
