citrix integration
5 TopicsAPM: How to preserve Citrix Web Interface preferences?
APM 11.5.1 w/ HF7 Citrix Web Interface 5.2.0 Citrix XenApp 5.0 in Direct Mode Citrix XenDesktop N/A One Webtop that contains OWA, Sharepoint, and Citrix Web Interface. All three are defined via 'portal access'. APM in DMZ has access to all of the internal resources via the firewall (443,1494,2598). The only user complaint is that the Citrix Web Interface preferences are not preserved for subsequent log ons. Some users prefer a full screen desktop, others prefer 50%. Some prefer 16-bit color. Rightly so, they find it cumbersome to have to set these settings every time they access the web interface. Apparently this wasn't an issue when Citrix was fronted via the CAG. Is there an iRule or setting that can be used to ensure that Citrix preferences (cookie?) is preserved between logon attempts? Thanks846Views0likes2CommentsInserting F5 LTM in a Citrix environment
We recently acquired F5 LTM and APM and are looking to integrate it within our Citrix environment. What functions from a Citrix environment can we replace? Can the roles of Citrix Web Interface and/or XML Broker be replaced by LTM for example? Have someone did this before?346Views0likes7CommentsCitrix smart access
I'm trying to get smart access working through APM using Storefront. F5 version 11.6 HF5. I have followed the guide (https://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/citrix-vdi-iapp-dg.pdf) but the app still displays. My goal is to hide the app based on the client IP. My understanding is once the pieces are in place, if I don't configure the smart filter the app should not display. Is that correct? I have defined the STA URL's within VPE and configured Citrix according to the above documentation. Any advice on how to further pinpoint the issue?343Views0likes2CommentsConfiguring F5 with iApp and Storefront 3.x
Hello everyone, I would like your feedback and if possible the steps that are required to implemented a recent Citrix infrastructure (Storefront 3.0 + ) with F5 network equipment doing the load-balancing and mainly the Access Policy Manager (with iApp) ? We are struggling to implement it Our goals are: 1- Be in HTTPS from the Citrix Receiver to the F5 and to the Storefront 2 - Make sure that all traffic come and go through the F5 3 - Allow the Storefront to know the IP of the client machine with the Receiver and not having the IP of the F5 as client's IP 4 - Be able afterwards to implement SSO or other advanced features of the Receiver So far we have a F5 configured with the iApp, that is configured to forward the IP of the client to the Storefront but the Storefront keep seeing the IP of the F5 and not the client. The traffic is in HTTP between the F5 and the Storefront. But all traffic go through the F5. Our version of the Storefront is: 3.0.1.57 Thank you for your advices !
