Hey, i am new to the F5 universum and i have a question regarding licensing: When using Remote Access SSL VPN in combination with Azure AD for MFA via SAML, what kind of license is needed in such cases? I would assume its one CCU per Connection? - what about those access sessions? Maybe someone could help me out on this, Thanks in advance :)342Views0likes1CommentCCU license distribution question
With a pair of 7200 chassis basically running in HA mode (as far as their vcmp guests are concerned), if one chassis had 3000 CCU licenses (for VPN use) and one had 1000 CCU licenses, what would happen if a vcmp guest currently active on the 3000 CCU license chassis had to fail over to the 1000 CCU licensed chassis? Would the only effect be shedding any connections over the 1000 CCU limit, or would it not fail over, fail over with an error, etc?273Views0likes1CommentCurrent APM CCU license usage
Problem this snippet solves: This snippet shows how to get the actual number of CCUs used at the current time for APM. How to use this snippet: Execute this command from the CLI. The second line will show the current number of CCUs used. Code : echo -e 'get tmm.license.global_connectivity#\r' | nc 127.1.1.2 11211 Tested this on version: 11.5646Views0likes3CommentsDifference between max CCU and max access sessions?
Hi all, what is the difference and impact between CCU and access sessions? CCU is straight-forward to me, it is based on licensed and any excess connections will be dropped if CCU goes beyond its licensed limit. What about max access sessions? Looking at the table in the below link doesn't make sense to me. Why is maximum access sessions not equal to max CCU? I would have thought max CCU is limited by hardware capability? https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K15624537386Views0likes1Comment
