broadcast
3 TopicsForwarding request to all pool members
i have a i5800 and my DEVs are requesting me to send forward a HTTP POST to all pool members that are behind the F5. This is because users will be spread among all pool memebers and this POST will display the caller info into the user's screen. so the server the user is connected to will match that post parameter and display the info. is there a way to do this? its like a stateless forwarding but with TCP775Views0likes3CommentsARP Request on shared vlan in vCMP-guest
Hi experts! My plan was to install a second vCMP-guest on my BIG-IP 5200v-box. But for some reson only one of the vCMP-guest recives the ARP broadcast request and not the other when i use the same shared VLAN, in this case DMZ6. tcpdump -ni DMZ6 -e -p arp - shows that only one of the guest recives the arp-requests. Egress arp-request works as excpected, from both guests. Same version software - 13.1.0.1 b0.0.8 . Any ideas are appreciated! Hello, We recently had some issues regarding a failover where a part of the vips weren't ARP'd right. (These worked fine before) F5 Support mentioned having a self-ip in the vIP range or using MAC Masquerading on the traffic group would solve our problems. Now there are a few things I do not get; if a self-ip in the vIP range is required, how are we accessing our listeners right now? How is the bigip broadcasting the vIPs without a self-ip in the vIP range? Why would MAC masquerading work better? Our bigips are connected to L3 switches, if that may help.
