Hi there, I got a Viprion 2400 chassis with two 2150 blades in slots 1 and 2. I've connected the console ports of both blades to my console server but I'm getting confused with how the consoles are working. I'd expect to get login (or AOM access) on both consoles or at least in the console of the blade that has the role of master in the cluster, but I only get the blade 2 console even the blade in slot 1 is the master. I've tried to disable slot 2 and I'm still getting console on this physical connection and the console of blade in slot 1 is completely dead. I can't get login nor AOM access through it. I don't understand how console access works when you have a cluster with more than a blade in a chassis. Which console is active? Can't I have both consoles actives? Thanks.405Views0likes3CommentsViprion 2400 B2250 run two clusters?
Hello, I have redundant 2400 chassis with a single B2250 blade in each. vCMP guests are configured sync failover between chassis, There is no HA at the Viprion Level. I need to setup two blades for a DR Bubble environment needs to be isolated from the existing blade in the default cluster and the vlans cannot mix between the blades. Is it advisable to run a second cluster for the slot 2 and 3 blades to segment the networks? I dont see much documentation on this so any help is appreciated.384Views0likes1CommentDoes VIPRION support 2 clusters in the same chassis
Though a 3rd or 4th blade would automatically be added to the 1st cluster, can I establish a 2nd cluster and maintain 2x2? The use case is supporting dual versioning in production for greenfield on v11 and legacy on v10. There is already HA to a 2nd chassis, so HA would also be 2x2--2x2. Assume there is a valid business reason to not upgrade the chassis from v10 to v11 due to a limited maintenance window.236Views0likes1CommentIs there any document or solution article to clarify all the possible combination of blade led status?
Hi Folks, I am looking for an official doc that can clarify the meaning of viprion blade leds. Yes, taking C2400 as an example, there is a table in its platform guide which lists "Blade LED status conditions". However this doesn't include enough information. For example, if I manually disabled a slot, what color/status is supposed to show for these leds? what's the combination of them? In my case, I saw sec LED was green with status LED was amber. Is that correct? Anyway, I didn't find anything that can clarify such behavior...221Views0likes4Comments
