Hello, My customer have 2 VIPRION appliances with vCMP license and Guest distributed among the appliances. We need to add these two add-on license in the VIPRION: F5-ADD-VPR-USER-500 & F5-ADD-VPRAPM-C2400B But i have the following question: The add-on is apply at Host Level or Guest Level? If is apply a host Level, how the Guest recognizes this new license? Is it necesary a reboot of the host or the guest? Is provisioning still necessary at the guest level or is this administered at the host level? For the license F5-ADD-VPR-USER-500, if it is applied at the host level, is is posible to distributed among the Guests?, or these license is only apply a Guest Level? I view these post but is not really clear: https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/activate-add-on-license-with-vcmp Thanks for yours reply Christian599Views0likes1Commentget_dossier and add-on options
Greetings, I came across this behavior that I found interesting and thought to post it here. I had to use get_dossier to activate a license and two add-ons. I read https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K2595. Somehow, I misread this line in the article: get_dossier -b ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDEFG -a ABCDEFG-ABCDEFG,ABCDEFG-BBBBBBB and I wound up giving this command instead (note the double -a and no comma): get_dossier -b ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDEFG -a ABCDEFG-ABCDEFG -a ABCDEFG-BBBBBBB Despite this, I received a dossier with no error message whatsoever so I thought everything was fine. I generated a license which upon further inspection had only one of the two add-ons. So now my question is why did get_dossier not tell me my command was incorrect? I was also wondering why it would cleanly omit one add-on (the first one I think). The F5 activation page happily generated a license with one add-on, so I'm thinking there was nothing wrong with the dossier generated. Has anyone had other similar experiences with get_dossier?515Views0likes4Comments
